Maintenance of the Water Distribution System
Residents of Louetta Road Utility District
As part of the maintenance of the water distribution system and to improve the long-term water quality, Louetta Road Utility District, in conjunction with Terranova West Municipal Utility District will be temporarily changing the treatment chemical used to disinfect the water supply. This is being done to help address the water quality issues that were experienced this past summer. As this change can only be done when we are not receiving surface water, the treatment is a single event and not practical for normal operation. This will result in a slightly different odor and taste to the water. This project will be initiated the week of January 22, 2024. The entire project will take about 3 weeks.
We will send out additional information as we get closer to implementation of work.

- Check for and repair all leaks, dripping faucets, and running toilets.
- Utilize water conservation measures such as displacement bags, low-flow shower heads and leak detection tablets.

Drought Conditions
LRUD, along with the surrounding districts are in Stage 2 or our required drought contingency plan. Under this plan, there are mandatory water conservation restrictions. The district is seeing consumption rates in the District climbing, especially compared to past years. Limit outdoor irrigation to the hours of 7:00pm and 5:00am of the following day on no more than two (2) days per week, in conformity with the following schedule (no watering on Mondays):
Sundays and Thursdays for single-family residential customers with even-numbered street addresses
Saturdays and Wednesdays for single-family residential customers with odd-numbered street addresses; and Tuesdays and Fridays for all other customers.
With everyone’s help and cooperation, we will get through this.
Thank you for your cooperation.
